VERT’S SPECIAL BEEF FRY

What a beautiful day to thank our Creator! Despite the busy schedules, I still have time for my family. Of course, let’s not forget-family first. We work for them but it doesn’t mean we will have no time for them, right?

 Anyway, are you craving for something simple yet special dish? This recipe will surely make your day better as it is hassle-free to prepare plus the delightful taste that will quench your hunger. I added Cauliflower and broccoli to make it special.

Below are the easy steps to follow.

Ingredients

  • ½ kilo Beef Chuck or Tenderloin
  • 2 large Onion - Pureed
  • 10 grams Ginger Garlic Paste 
  • 5 tbsp. Coconut Oil 
  • 1 tbsp. Vinegar 
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper 
  • 1/4 tsp. Turmeric 
  • 1/2 tsp. Coriander Powder 
  • 1/4 tsp. Garam Masala Powder 
  •  Curry Leaves a handful 
  • 100 grams cauliflower (optional)
  • 100 grams (broccoli)

 

Methods

  1. Cut the beef into small bite-size pieces. Marinate with salt, pepper, ginger garlic paste, onions, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and vinegar. Leave for 30 minutes.
  2. Add the beef into a pressure cooker with about 1/2 cup of water and cook for 20 minutes on a low flame. You can also slow cook it in a saucepan for about 40 minutes or till the beef is tender.
  3. Remove the beef with a slotted spoon. Drain the liquid and reserve for later use. Any of the masala/onion in the sieve you add to the beef.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the curry leaves. Add the beef and cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes. Lastly, add the cauliflower and broccoli and cook for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Keep stirring to prevent the beef from burning.
